In this episode of the “Early Days” Podcast, host Jackie Rae Greening is joined by Jennifer Keith, CEO and Founder of Epic Food & Drink, who shares her path from Edmonton student to creating a unique culinary hub for chefs to display their creativity in a communal environment.
Jennifer Keith is the CEO and Founder of Epic Food & Drink. Jennifer grew up in Edmonton and was an especially keen student in High School. After graduating, Jennifer attended the University of Alberta, where she earned her Masters in Business, specializing in Innovation and Entrepreneurship. Jennifer worked a series of HR jobs before she changed direction.
Jennifer and her business partner, Luke Butterworth decided to use their respective talents and ambitions to charter a new course. Luke’s connections in the food industry and Jennifer’s desire to use her skills to help others led to the gestation of Epic Food & Drink. They leased a downtown location and built an end-to-end business operation, with four independent commercial kitchens, featuring a communal front of house area. They licensed the space to individual chefs and gave them an opportunity to launch in their space. This provided the platform so the chef’s creativity can be seen and experienced by interested people. Epic Food & Drink has expanded to also include a location in Old Strathcona.
